Constructed from solid oak, the chair features a rectilinear upright back with subtle carved crest detail, flanked by gently curved arms supported by finely turned spindle galleries. Additional spindle work appears along the front seat rail, reinforcing the chair’s architectural and linear character.

The chair stands on turned legs with original brass casters, a classic detail associated with Eastlake and late Victorian library and hall furniture.
