Pair of natural bone or horn caviar serving shovel spoons
Natural horn scoops and sterling silver handles with floral filigree detailing. Typically used as caviar or egg spoons because the horn material is inert and does not alter the delicate flavor of the delicacy. The spoons are hand-cut and polished, with unique color variation in the horn ranging from blond to dark. These utensils were popular during the Victorian era and remain functional luxury items today.
Each measures 6 7/8" long.
Hallmarks on silver. Maker unknown.
