Antique Bisque Porcelain Figurine of Boy with Flying Kite by PM&M Porzellanfabrik Unger, Schneider & Cie
Porzellanfabrik Unger, Schneider & Cie. produced high-quality matte bisque porcelain figurines and decorative items between 1875 and 1886 in Grafenthal, Thuringia, Germany. Known for Victorian-era scenes, children, and romantic figures, these pieces often feature delicate hand-painting, soft pastel colors, and the characteristic “G” with double arrows mark. The mark on this figurine - an impressed version without additional decoration - was used from around 1875 until 1879. The piece is fully hand-painted and displays finely executed details and craftsmanship. There is a hairline crack on the back and a minor chip on the back side of the flying kite; otherwise, it is in great overall condition for its age.
