This top of the line, most likely English coal bucket has big presence. This is the kind of item you sprinkle around your home and just let your guests take it in without pointing it out. Of course if or when they might ask, “My, where on earth might you have acquired such a magnificent thing?” Then you can give them the run-down!

It’s just got to be English or European — how many American homes were heated with coal? (Probably more than we know about.) I estimate its age to be over 100 years (I love a real antique!). The ornamentation suggests it held a place in a home of significance. And those feet, whoa!

In overall excellent condition with minor bruises and scratches and such which only testify to its age.

Can you begin to imagine how killer this bucket would be with a great floral arrangement springing from its interior? Restaurant-worthy!

Measurements: to the top of the handle, as shown, it’s 23 inches high. At the bottom, it’s 13 inches across not including the feet. With the feet it takes up a space of about 17 inches in diameter. See less
