The relics, such as old pins, coins, and pendants, are sourced from churches, temples, and antique shops across Europe and Israel. When the jewelers find a special item, it is used to create a mold that includes all the details of the original piece, down to the tiny scratches and wear seen on the original, which gives the reproduction the same antique beauty of the relic. Brother Wolf is a family-owned business founded in 1989. The name Brother Wolf is a reference to St. Francis of Assisi, who is known as the patron saint of animals. In the legend of St. Francis, the saint tamed a dangerous wolf by treating him as a creature of God and calling him “Brother Wolf.”

This medallion features the profile of the Virgin Mary on the front, with a halo surrounding her head and a small bouquet of roses at the base of her veil, along with the initials J.A. for the original engraver. On the back is an image of St. Bernadette kneeling at the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The young St. Bernadette had a vision of the Virgin Mary eighteen times near a cave in Lourdes, France, in which Mary instructed her to drink from a nonexistent fountain in a nearby grotto. When St. Bernadette scratched into the dry ground, healing waters began to flow. Today, these waters are visited by thousands of people from all religious backgrounds in search of physical and emotional healing. The scene of St. Bernadette and the Virgin Mary is depicted on the medallion with beautiful details of flowing water and blooming roses. The sterling silver medallion is framed by a 14k gold border with a hand-hammered feel to it that matches the antique look of the medallion.
