A stunning set of dining or side chairs by British luxury furniture designer Christopher Guy featuring red velvet oval shaped backs and contrasting shiny black seats. The frame and legs are hand carved and finished with an ornate crackled gold finish. The cabriole legs are characteristic of 18th-century French furniture and lends these chairs a very classic and elegant air. A very special set of chairs for that sophisticated and stylish home.
Dimensions: 32"H 25"W 19.5"D. Seat height: 19.5"
Condition: In good structurally sound and sturdy condition with some visible wear on the seats as shown, including a few scuffs and tears. The black seats would benefit from a reupholstering at some time. There is a small chip to the wood on the backrest (on back of one chair), hard to see and not very noticeable. One of the chairs has the original Christopher Guy cover underneath the seat.
