Commanding and soulful, this large-scale English Mastiff sculpture is a stunning example of mid-century wood artistry. Hand-carved from a single, heavy block of solid hardwood, this piece captures the massive presence and dignified expression of the "Gentle Giant" of the dog world.
The carver has masterfully rendered the Mastiff's characteristic facial wrinkles and powerful chest. The warm, honey-toned wood features a beautiful natural grain that glows under light.
Weighing nearly 3 pounds, and measuring a full 9" tall x 10" long x 5 3/4" wide, this is a substantial statement piece for a professional office, a rustic library, or as the centerpiece of a canine art collection.
