Due to the popularity of the design, many American clockmakers produced their own versions. This particular example was manufactured by the New Haven Clock Company and retains many of the defining characteristics of the original Willard form.

The case is crafted in mahogany and features reverse painted glass panels. The lower glass tablet depicts Mt. Vernon, adding both historical charm and visual interest.

The painted dial remains in wonderful condition and is signed “New Haven.” The clock is fitted with an 8-day spring-powered movement, chiming the hour on the hour and once on the half hour.

A timeless and iconic piece, ideal for collectors or as a statement accent in a traditional or transitional interior. See less
