George Washington defeated the British forces (It's a great day for a Fox Hunt". Print measures 28.25" x 22.125" H . Matted and framed to approx 38 x 32. Frame has some light surface scratches in a couple of areas. Print is in antique condition, and has been professionally framed and matted for preservation.

Louis Kurz (1834-1921, b. Salzburg, Austria, d. Chicago, Illinois), "Battle of Princeton", published in Chicago in 1911. A vibrant original chromolithograph depicting this famed Revolutionary War battle in vivid detail and a bright color palette. General Washington is shown resolutely leading his troops against the Red Coat lines. In the distance, one can see Nassau Hall, and in the foreground Kurz has rendered the wounded upon the snow-covered ground. Text below the image reads, "WASHINGTON'S CHARGE JANUARY 3rd 1777.
