This exquisite antique figurine depicts the noble and historic Skye Terrier, a breed famously favored by Queen Victoria.

Crafted in high-fired white porcelain, this piece is a masterclass in texture. Every lock of the Skye’s characteristic long, silky coat is rendered with sharp precision, from the feathered "veil" over the eyes to the sweeping fringe on the ears. The dog is captured in a classic standing profile, alert and dignified.

This wonderful dog measures 5" tall x 8 1/2" long x 2 1/4" wide and it is in excellent condition. It was modeled by Erich Oehme at the Meissen Factory, Saxony Germany, c.1930's. It is marked on the underside of the base with the blue scepter mark.

As an authentic Meissen piece from the turn of the century, it represents the pinnacle of European porcelain artistry. Its minimalist white palette allows the intricate sculpture to be the star, making it a sophisticated accent for a library, mantle, or gallery wall.
