Born for Water was created in collaboration with Kevin Aspaas, a Diné weaver, fiber artist, shepherd, and farmer based in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation. Woven in the United States from a rich wool and cotton blend, this evocative medium-scale pattern incorporates the symbolic Spider Woman Cross motif of the Navajo Nation along with colors that suggest the four seasons. The fabric's heavy blanketlike construction and poetic geometric motifs lend textural pattern and soul to any space.
