The lithograph print poster is published by the Spanish daily newspaper " Diario 16 ", printed in Spain in 1979 in an unnumbered limited edition by Coslada-Madrid. It features an artwork image created by the German born graphic designer Reinhard Gade ( 1937 - 2012 ). The artwork titled " Gade Segun Magritte " ( Gade According to Magritte ) is painted in the style of the famous Surrealist artist Rene Magritte, after one of Magritte's masterpiece artworks " Man in a Bowler Hat ", 1964.

" Diario 16 : Alternativa De Prensa Democratica " ( Spanish for " Daily 16 : An Alternative Democratic Press ) was a Spanish-language daily newspaper published in Madrid, Spain between 1976 and 2001. The " 16 " of the title refers to the sixteen founders of Grupo 16, publishers of the weekly news magazine Cambio 16. The newspaper was published by Informacion Y Prensa with headquarters in Madrid.

Diario 16 first appeared as an evening newspaper in tabloid format on October 18, 1976. It was one of the clutch of new Post-Franco newspapers to appear during the early stages of the Spanish transition to Democracy. The newspaper had a liberal and center-left stance, and was a pioneer in investigative journalism. It was often criticized by conservative American Republicans, and was the subject of several lawsuits. Diario 16 was closed on November 7, 2001.

The rare out of print framed vintage Spanish political poster measures 17 1/2" W X 29 3/4" H X 7/8" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent condition. The poster print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, light to moderate signs of handing, and some moderate to medium visible wear.
