This stunning and rare Paris Porcelain serving bowl, marked NAST, likely dates from around 1800 to 1830. Gently used but in good to very good condition for its age, it features a hand-painted floral garland, with typical pits, the hand painted cornflowers and green garland and what appears to be 24-karat gold gilding throughout its circular form.
The red stencil “NAST” on the bottom suggests it’s consistent with pieces from the First Empire to the Restoration periods.
We believe this is a genuine antique French Vieux Paris porcelain bowl, highly sought after by collectors. It was purchased by a member of Clover’s Cottage over 30 years ago at an estate sale in Baton Rouge, LA, and has been owned by them ever since.
