An original mantel clock manufactured by the polish factory predom-metron in toruń. The z 312-17 model dates from the communist era and embodies the modernist style characteristic of the 1970s, featuring elements of space age aesthetics.
the clock features a minimalist black dial with thin hour markers and a contrasting red second hand. The case is made of cream-colored plastic and sits on a stable base, giving the whole piece an elegant, modern character typical of functional designs from that era.
the dial bears the original predom metron marking, and the factory label with the model number is preserved on the back. The clock is an interesting example of polish industrial design from the 1970s.
the mechanism was later replaced with a modern quartz movement, allowing the clock to run quietly and precisely.
