It is bombe shaped with contrasting lighter wood banding and a small ceramic knob on the lid. The front has a mother-of-pearl keyhole escutcheon. Key is included but it does not lock. Blue interior. Historically these boxes were lockable containers used to store expensive loose-leaf tea. See less
