Circa 1840 English armorial hall chair. Mahogany. Raised on turned, tapered, vasi-form legs with ring turnings. Shaped back with fan crest, well molded, with central medallion with family crest of a crown over a lion on diamond pendant with "MR" family initials. Stable old split at rear right of seat; back reinforced with an additional stool but still has some movement as is typical of these chairs.
