Striking vintage ceramic apothecary jar fashioned by Blair and made in the U.S.A. This classic pharmacy jar features the Latin label Radix Palmae Christi displayed within a colorful ornamental cartouche surrounded by leafy accents and a gold caduceus emblem. The crisp design is beautifully outlined in black with soft blue, green, and yellow accents against a cream ceramic body. Elegant gold banding at the rim and base adds a refined finishing touch. These decorative pharmacy jars were popular in mid-century drugstores and medical offices, inspired by earlier European apothecary vessels. This example makes a fantastic display piece for a bookshelf, cabinet of curiosities, or traditional study.
