We are selling this beautiful Japanese Aesthetic Movement style water pitcher by Meriden Britannia Company. This late 19th century vase has great ornamental design of scrolling waves and floral style designs. The jug is inscribed Capt Jas. M Seaman June 1888. We believe this is for Captain James Seaman, possibly of the Seaman family of Long Island.
Condition: Some surface wear to the silverplating through to the base metal.
