With it's makers mark stamp of "Galveston Island, Texas" this may be a representation of the restored tall-ship "Elissa" which is in dock on display at this present time.

The hull is polished, varnished wooden hull with a two-tone finish, dark black upper band and lighter wood below, mounted on a display stand—typical of decorative models. There are three tall masts, multiple stacked square sails on each with either black striped linen or cotton slightly furled. There are extensive rigging lines throughout. too.

This decorative piece captures the look of a historic sailing ship and would fit within a nautical, coastal or Americana style home decor, or a perfect gift for a collector of maritime novelties. Perfect atop books, or on a shelf amongst a collection.
