It stands approximately 32 inches tall to the top of the wooden finial and the hook adds another 3 inches for an overall height of 35 inches. It is approximately 22 inches wide and 22 inches deep.
It has brass hinges and a sliding metal tray on the bottom.
It can be displayed standing on a table or other flat surface, or it can be hung using the hook on the top of the finial.
Parrots and other such chewing birds would quickly destroy the cage by chewing through the wood, but other types of birds, such as finches, could conceivably be housed in this cage, it also would make a beautiful decorative object possibly featuring floral displays or bird figurines. Use your imagination and create something unique to your tastes.
It is in very good antique condition with only minor normal signs of age and use. The bottom portion of one foot on the rear of the cage is missing, but it does not affect the stability of the cage when standing or detract from the aesthetic beauty of the cage.
