This authentic late 19th-century Meiji period Japanese Imari bowl features a classic fluted body and deeply scalloped rim. The hand-painted interior displays alternating panels of garden landscapes and floral motifs in a vibrant palette of iron-red, cobalt blue, and green. A central medallion depicts a traditional footed vase containing a lush floral bouquet.

Artisanal Details:
Central Medallion: The interior well is anchored by a large, circular medallion depicting a footed blue-and-white vase filled with a lush bouquet of blooming peonies and chrysanthemums.
Interior Panels: The sloping sides are divided into alternating wedges featuring architectural garden scenes with bamboo, butterflies, and stylized floral "Mon" crests against a rich iron-red ground.
Exterior Decoration: The exterior is decorated with trailing floral sprays and a distinctive blue-and-white "swirl" or wave border just above the footrim.

Structural Fracture: A visible hairline crack extends vertically from the damaged rim area towards the interior well.
Additional Wear: Minor nicks are present along other points of the scalloped edge, and the unglazed footrim shows authentic age-related toning.
