Excellent and large grandfather clock (also known as a grandfather clock), in good working order, with key and expertly serviced. George III style, made of wood and gilt brass. England, first half of the 20th century.

Of classic design, following the aesthetic parameters characteristic of the George III period in England, an era in which this type of clock was highly valued and represented the purchasing power and social standing of its owner. Depicted in numerous paintings, it is an undisputed element of the domestic interiors of the upper middle class and the aristocracy.

The front features a broken pediment. The gilt brass dial with Arabic numerals is adorned with a floral pattern in the same material. It uses a pendulum and weight mechanism. The bell strikes the hours, quarters, and half-hours. The lower part features a gilt brass case with inlays and fluting.
