A handsome 19th century Victorian carved walnut armchair featuring a beautifully shaped oval back, richly carved crest, and elegant cabriole legs with floral carving details.
The chair retains its older patterned upholstery with decorative gimp trim. The wood frame displays a deep patina and attractive carving throughout, including scroll arms, a carved crest, and floral accents along the apron and legs.
The frame is solid and structurally sound, making this a wonderful candidate for reupholstery while preserving the beautiful antique frame.
This piece would work beautifully in a library, bedroom, sitting room, or as an accent chair in a traditional or eclectic interior.

The chair retains older upholstery that shows visible wear consistent with age, including areas of fraying and a tear to the back panel. Seat padding has softened and settled with age and would likely be refreshed during reupholstery. Frame remains sturdy with light wear appropriate to age and use. less
