The large dish is conspicuously hand thrown on a pottery wheel, with shallow ridges on the back and the entire form being very, very slightly out of round (a 20th century piece would be "perfectly" shaped). One feature of mid 19th century, or early Rose Medallion porcelain is the detail in the painting of figures, which in early pieces shows people so finely rendered that they have individual features and expressions. In very good to excellent antique condition. See less
