This large hand-carved wooden horse was produced in Mexico and reflects traditional folk art carving practices. Measuring approximately 15.5 inches tall, the figure is rendered in a dynamic rearing pose with hand-applied painted decoration. The stylized form, bold coloration, and upright posture reference carousel and festival horse imagery commonly interpreted in Mexican folk sculpture rather than functional ride figures. Tool marks, surface variation, and painterly wear are consistent with hand-carved artisan production rather than factory manufacture.
