This exceptional 19th-century silver miniature represents a pinnacle of the Dutch "toy" silver tradition, meticulously hand-crafted in the historic silversmithing center of Schoonhoven. Bearing the hallmark for 1887 (date letter "C"), the piece is a verified early-career work from the prestigious workshop of Herbert Hooikaas, a maker celebrated for his architectural fidelity and ornate storytelling in miniature form.
