Elegant and rare small Louis XVI period marquetry desk from the 18th century.
This beautiful desk features two drawers in the frieze. The rectangular top is framed by a delicate gilt-bronze gallery. Superb marquetry work in light tones adorns all sides.
The desk rests on slender, tapered legs, also decorated with fine inlays, terminating in gilt-bronze sabots and small casters.
It is covered in a very attractive tobacco-colored leather with a superb patina.
The drawer interiors are made of oak, a hallmark of quality and its period.
In perfect condition with a superb patina.
