The chair has a clear coat aluminum frame with wood arm rests - seat - front legs and back rest. The design is from the 1930s and was manufactured to reduce combustible furniture in the "NEW" high rise office buildings. This chair is in the same style and design time frame as the GOODFORM / GENERAL FIREPROOFING "NAVY" chair that is still being produced by EMECO. Very good condition with some scuffs to the paint and wear to the clearcoat on the aluminum. The manufacture of this chair dates to the 1970s - 1980s we believe. The white paint over the wood pieces is factory painting.
