Important Longchamp earthenware playter of the so-called "Callot" model. It was produced from 1890 to 1920 under the direction of Robert Charbonnier in the earthenware factories of Longchamp-Terre-de-Fer. It presents a decoration of foliage and rocks on the marly and a grotesque figure in the central motif. The character taken from the engravings of Jacques CALLOT (1592-1635) from the "Balli di Sfessania" series - a dwarf violinist taken from the old 18th century decorations of Clerissy in Moustiers. Stamp in black under the Longchamp and CR coins for Robert Charbonnier.
