A set of two French midcentury tribal lounge chairs designed by Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet for manufacturer Vibo Vesoul.
French designers Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet created this comfortable rustic armchair with a natural appearance in mind using indigenous fibers and light colors to achieve a timeless Modern beauty.
Bentwood beech with original braided abaca plant fiber rope. Since these are handmade, there is a difference in the graining of the wood on the two chairs.
This modest approach using raphia fibers prized for endurance, strength, and resistance was the intentional aim of this humble model and many of their other designs.
Wood in good vintage condition w/ barely visible superficial scratches or imperfections.
Rope in original condition with some old repairs and minor losses on back,
some wear/ fraying on the front bottom of both chair backrests, as shown in photos.
There are pictures of each chair's seat, backrest, and back view.
Chairs are a cantilever design and very comfortable.
