From my personal collection of over 100 alabaster grapes from Italy. Popularly brought back to the USA from trips abroad as decorative souvenirs, I acquired mine at Roundtop, Brimfield, Scott’s Antique markets, estate sales and flea markets the world over.
They look spectacular amassed in an unused fireplace, a giant clamshell, filling a large bowl, equally appealing solo on a shelf, mantle or atop a coffee table or book stack.
This particular cluster has about 28 “grapes" attached to a real grapevine stem, very little loss of its beige colored lacquer. The alabaster orbs graduate from smaller at the tip to larger at stem. These are each about .5" to 1" diameter. Alabaster portion alone is 5” long and stem is another 2" showing, overall: 7" x 3.5" x 3"
