This high quality ceramic bowl was created by the renown German ceramist Helma Klett (1908-1996) during the 1960s. The fine piece is glazed in impressive hues of brown and beige with an abstract modern decor. The object comes from an ambitious private collection.
Helma Klett founded her artistic pottery workshop in Fredelsloh, Northern Germany in 1940. She was trained by the renown ceramist Siegfried Graham in Römhild during the 1930s.
Helma Klett followed the principles of the Bauhaus as well as traditional design in her work and this duality makes it very interesting. This piece has an attribution mark,
