19th C. Artisan Hammered Cooper Centerpiece Platter.
Highly decorated, never polished - all the marks of patina and the decorative arts in one piece.
Diameter is 14.75." Sits 1.75" tall.
In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item...
The key word for this piece is "hand"...hand-formed, hand-hammered (look at the dimples on the reverse), hand detailed...artisan in every detail.
Fantastic patina, nice authentic weight, marvelous color range and toning. As a centerpiece, a serving piece, and even art work to display, this is a great find.
