Offered here is an elegant tufted accent chair purchased through Julien’s Auction House in 2006 and represented as having been owned by legendary silent film icon Mary Pickford.
Mary Pickford — “America’s Sweetheart” — was one of the founding figures of Hollywood and co-founder of United Artists. The legendary Pickfair estate in Beverly Hills defined early Hollywood glamour and helped inspire the grand celebrity estates that later shaped the Hollywood Regency aesthetic. Pieces connected to her estate are increasingly rare and highly collectible. this chair was purchased through Julien's Auction's in 2008. Also, see the painted French Trumeau mirror I have listed from her estate as well.
