Bengt Hokanson and Trefny Dix collaborate in creating original glass art defined by vibrant colors, bold canework, and fluid, organic forms. This handblown piece has a low, wide silhouette with a softly undulating rim and a substantial, sculptural presence. Layered glass creates shifting fields of ruby red, orange, and magenta, with luminous interior forms that appear to float beneath the surface as the light moves across the curves. Hokanson and Dix work with a range of traditional Italian and Swedish glassblowing methods alongside experimental processes developed in their studio, resulting in vessels with pronounced depth, saturated color transitions, and carefully controlled shape.
