Hand-painted with striking black markings against a crisp white glaze, this Russian Wolfhound is captured in a graceful, lifelike stance. The fine detail in the face—including the breed’s characteristic slender muzzle and gentle expression—showcases the high-quality craftsmanship of the Austrian porcelain houses of the era.
This piece retains its original "Golden Crown E&R Austria" foil label on the hip, signifying it was part of the curated luxury imports by Ebeling & Reuss, a premier Philadelphia-based distributor active during the 1950s.
Measuring 6" tall x 5 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide, it is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Its wonderful glossy glaze remains bright and clear.
