We are selling this great looking European strong box. This small document box is probably Austrian or German Biedermeier in origin, or possibly French. and made circa 1850. The box has marquetry inlaid decoration and sunburst design on the top. The edge of the top is embellished with small iron strapping. Missing the key.
Condition: Some small damages mostly to the veneer. Small splits and some loss on the front of the box. Damage with split and loss on the right rear corner. Finial knob may be replaced.
