This exquisite vintage etching by artist Becourt captures the grand High Gothic facade of the Cathédrale d’Amiens in France. The piece features intricate line work showcasing the cathedral’s famous rose window and detailed portal carvings, enhanced by subtle, hand-applied watercolor washes that add depth and a warm, aged patina.
The print is hand-signed by the artist in pencil and titled "Cathédrale d'Amiens" along the lower margin. It comes housed in a decorative, vintage gold-toned frame with a dark, mottled tortoiseshell style finish that perfectly complements the traditional architectural subject matter. A timeless find for collectors of European travel art or architectural renderings.
It is in great condition(marks and wear specially on the actual print, consistent with its age and history, please check all pictures for more details).
