A handsome pair of French oak and woven cane nightstands by Maugrion for Roche Bobois, circa 1980.
Each nightstand features softly rounded corners, a molded top, woven cane side panels and drawer front, an open storage shelf, and a single lower drawer with a round oak pull. The stepped plinth bases and substantial proportions give the pair an architectural quality while the natural oak and cane add warmth and texture.
The combination of clean-lined French design and traditional woven cane makes these especially versatile bedside pieces, equally suited to traditional, coastal, or more contemporary interiors.
