This is a vintage French country style arm chair with solid wood construction, shaped ladder back, scrolled arms, woven natural rush seat, and shapely sabre style front legs supported by a double box stretcher. The front stretcher is nicely turned. I only have one chair, but it would make a nice desk chair or accent chair.
The arm chair measures 39" tall, 21.75" wide, and 23" deep with a seat height of 18.5 inches and an arm height of 27 inches.
The mid-20th century chair is in very good vintage condition. The chair is sturdy and comfortable. The wood finish has a rustic distressed finish suitable for the French country or farmhouse aesthetic. There is some wear to the wood finish, including an area of discoloration on one of the back stiles. The rush seat is in very good shape, intact and tightly woven.
