A Fine Antique Staffordshire Green Transferware Platter "Cologne" With Staple Repair, Circa 1830's
Made by R. Stevenson & Son, Circa 1831-1836 of Cobridge, Stoke on Trent, England.
A very rare colour in this pattern, especially to find in a platter form.
This platter is a survivor, it retains the make-do staple repairs, after is was cracked from an errant object.
Staple repaired objects are quite collectable, and this guy is no exception to the rule!
