A 1976 wool tapestry by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This work features a central circle composition with organic and geometric shapes in green, brown, and yellow surrounded by an off-white border. The verso of the tapestry is signed and dated.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
