Very fine 19th century solid mahogany Chippendale side chair, likely American, circa 1850–1880. Expertly hand carved with flowing acanthus, pierced splat, and classic eagle ball-and-claw feet inspired by 18th century English Chippendale design. Rich deep tone with substantial weight and craftsmanship typical of period revival furniture found in prominent East Coast homes. A distinguished accent for traditional, Federal, Colonial Revival, or grand millwork interiors.
