The chairs appear formally balanced and clearly structured due to their curved legs, closed backrest, and calm overall proportions. Historical Context: Armchairs of this type were frequently produced around the turn of the century as seating for living and dining rooms, but were consciously based on Baroque models from the 18th century. Such historicist furniture expressed a refined taste in living and combined traditional forms with contemporary craftsmanship.
