This is a set of two vintage square stoneware plates made by Glidden Pottery, a California studio pottery active during the mid-20th century. These plates feature Glidden’s classic light gray to off-white speckled glaze with softly rounded corners and a gently recessed center—hallmarks of mid-century modern American studio stoneware.
The impressed “Glidden 33” mark on the base dates these plates to circa 1965, a period when Glidden produced minimalist, Scandinavian-influenced forms that were popular in California modern homes. The neutral speckled glaze was designed to complement both rustic and modern table settings and remains highly collectible today.
