Victor Vasarely screenprint poster titled 'Vega-Tuz' by Victor Vasarely, a pioneer of Op Art (Optical Art).
Vasarely (1906–1997) was a French-Hungarian painter known for geometric abstractions that play with the viewer's perception of depth and motion. The colors happen to play into the most current trend of olive green and a deep purple violet combination.
The artwork uses a pattern of circles in a purple and gold color scheme to create the optical illusion of a sphere emerging from a flat surface. Piece is signed "vasarely-" in the lower right margin. It was originally created in 1981. The piece is signed in the plate, and is from an edition of 1500.
We have chosen a chrome frame for this piece and have it displayed under glass. Glass was removed for photos to avoid glare.
