The skilled artisans achieved this effect by traditional techniques including the incorporation of fold aventurine (tiny flecks of copper or gold suspended in the glass) complex color layering to achieve the distinctive effect. The combination of vibrant earth tones, metallic aventurine sparkle, and organic flowing patterns makes this vase highly desirable.

The form is a traditional bottle vase with a short neck that flares up to a round opening. The body tapers down to a round flat foot. The base is smoothly polished. The bottle vase was purchased from a glass showroom at the Chicago Merchandise Mart in 2010. The showroom represented many glass manufacturers. The country of origin for this vase is unknown. I just selected Poland simply because I bought other pieces from the same showroom that were marked Poland. See less
