Four Vietri plates decorated in green with fish and caravels, Fabbrica Ceramica Avallone, 1930s. The plates are part of a set in which each plate has a different design of fish and caravels, themes much loved by the Vietri manufacturer. The soup tureen from this set, produced around 1930, is featured on the manufacturer's website and was sold by the Cambi auction house. The set consists of two dinner plates (ø23.5), a soup plate (ø23.5), and a dessert plate (ø21).
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
