This is a very cool pair of vintage Hollywood regency style yellow dressers with iconic bones. Check out the 3 equal sized drawers and carved inset panels with centered ring pulls. The chests are unsigned, but they immediately remind me of Dorothy Draper’s Espana bunching chests or T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings’s bachelor chests for Widdicomb. The chests are currently painted a marbled yellow and cream with gilt accents and original Art deco style metal pulls. If you paint these chests black and gold or another fun color combination, you’ll have yourself an amazing example of Hollywood regency glam.
These dressers can be used as night stands or end tables. They can also be pushed together to make a sideboard for a dining room, long dresser for a bedroom, media center in a living room, or a console piece for an entryway. Great versatile storage pieces that you can use anywhere.
The mid-20th century chests are in fair cosmetic condition. The chests are sturdy, and the drawers slide well. The paint finish is pretty scuffed up, with scratches and marks on the finish. The original hardware has age-related patina on the metal. The chests are ready to be used right away, but new paint would take them into the next level. Please see photos for more details about condition.
Each dresser measures 29.75” wide, 15.75” deep, and 30” tall.
