Antique Chinese Cloisonné Dragon Centerpiece Bowl – c. 1900
This large and visually striking 10-inch Chinese cloisonné bowl is a refined example of early 20th-century export craftsmanship. The centerpiece features a hand-enameled serpentine dragon on the interior, traditionally paired with a motif of dragons chasing the "flaming pearl of wisdom" along the exterior.
A significant highlight is the four-character apocryphal Ming Dynasty mark (Da Ming Nian Zhi) incised into the turquoise-enameled base. This mark was commonly used in the late Qing Dynasty and Republic Era (c. 1890–1920) as a tribute to the legendary artistic standards of the Great Ming period, establishing this piece as an authentic antique of that era.
